Promising Everton forward Jose Baxter has been arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply as well as having counterfeit money.The 17-year-old has been released on police bail after being arrested on Monday in the Kirkby area of Liverpool along with two men aged 29 and 34.Baxter, from Bootle, made his professional debut for the club on the first day of last season as a substitute.The appearance made him Everton's youngest ever senior player, aged 16 years and 191 days.This season he has represented the team twice in the UEFA Europa League and has been earning rave reviews for his performances with the reserves and youth team.Baxter has been with the club since he was six and was handed a two-and-a-half-year deal in April.A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "Three men have been arrested in Kirkby on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of counterfeit money."All three men have been released on police bail pending further inquiries."A spokesman for Everton Football Club refused to comment.
