i take a side with the protesters, why do i have to support soilders? most of them hate the guts of the people anywaysfrom when prince harry is racist to his own collegeas what are the troops going to do for the afghan people they dont even knowall this moist nonsense about them being heroes and all the stupid parades... its all bullshit.let them protest, because not everyone needs to like what the army is doingand if anyone really understood what was going on, they would knwo that to protest the army being in afganistan(that includes hating or critiscising the troops) they are doing them a favour.

What I want to know is why do all those facebook groups with names like "Just because I'm proud to be English it doesnt mean I'm a racist" contain so many racist people? The pictures are full of overweight white skinheads with bulldog tattoos and then you get the occassional picture of Amir Khan on there put up by the moderators.As wrong as it is, I'm actually ashamed of the English flag. I just feel like its been hijacked by too many racists/ignorant people. Even the word "English" has become dirty to me. I just dont hear anything positive from the people of this country claiming to be patriotic. I'm tired of hearing white English people claiming to be a victim of "reverse racism". I'm tired of hearing these idiots that have no substantial knowledge of history or politics talking about what this country should do.

Look, I agree with you to the extent that joining a group, saying you are not racist and then immediately commenting with racial undertones is ludicrous. The thing that you need to understand is that your way of thinking is totally different to theirs. Political parties take governance and then implement their ideologies onto society. I am quite left wing with my political views, but when something can both be seen and then becomes tangible, you have to accept that there is a big issue and by ignoring it, you do not serve the problem any justice whatsoever. British identity has been lost somewhere along the line. That's why no one is really proud to be british/English anymore. The Labour Party have taken their socialist/communist agenda if you like and have changed the way people think by promoting their propaganda through the mass media and more primarily through the national curriculum. Seeing as you and I have both been educated through this system, we understand the meaning of a lot of things and we have adapted our way of thinking to coincide with theirs. For many of the other British (skin head, bulldog wearing tattoo etc) working class, they have not been educated under this system. Most likely they would have been educated under a Tory era. There are a lot of things to consider here and I think the British people have every right to stress their anger and upset towards the loss of national identity but I think that using racism as a means or hating other British citizens due to the colour of their skin is totally unacceptable. We need to bring the British way of life back, accept all that want to be apart of it and change it for no one!

why should it concern you whether racists use the flag or not? Its not reflective of your views is it?You dont see ordinary muslims saying "the word Islam makes me feel 'dirty' (as you put it) because of fundamentalists." And going by your logic, you should expect them to.
