Terry is a scummy prick, befriended man then f*cked his girl.I don't think Gerrard should be England captain, f*ck knows who it should be their isn't many candidates. Every man is gonna be looking at Terry differently from now and if Bridge is in the WC squad the atmosphere will be f*cked.

He made his first-team debut before his 18th birthday and by the age of 21 was a regular and tipped as England material. But he was also involved in the first of many public incidents which revealed another side to his character. The first was amongst the most crass. At a Heathrow airport hotel bar, the day after the 9/11 terror attacks, Terry and three other young Chelsea players hurled abuse, stripped naked and vomited as weeping American guests watched footage of the destruction. The footballers had been on a five-hour drinking binge and the hotel manager described their behaviour as 'utterly vile'.Terry and his colleagues were heavily fined and made to apologise. The then Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri said: 'They had no decency or respect.'Not that Terry learned any lesson. In January 2002 he and three other young players were charged with assault after a drunken fight with nightclub doormen. Terry admitted throwing a punch but said it was in self defence. A jury cleared him. That same year CCTV cameras caught him being thrown out of an Essex nightclub after urinating into a beer glass, which he then dropped on the floor.Terry claimed once again that he had reformed. He would lead by example. And in 2006 the then England coach Steve McClaren appointed him national team captain with the ringing endorsement: 'I'm convinced he will prove to be one of the best captains England has ever had.'Of course, McClaren proved to be one of the worst England managers. During his disastrously unsuccessful campaign to reach the Euro 2008 tournament Terry was back to his old ways, surrounded by his team-mates.At a party held in a London club between vital qualifying games, the captain was reportedly so drunk that he, once again, urinated on the floor.Despite being unable to play football because of a leg injury, he joined lapdancers on stage while another England player reportedly had sex with a guest in a store room.Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1247180/Surely-serial-brawler-drinker-womaniser-John-Terry-remain-captain-country.html#ixzz0e70oIuPl

Here we take a look at the contenders.Wayne Rooney Glenn Hoddle once said: ‘I’ve always thought the best player should lead the team out; he should be the first player the opposition sees when you come out of the dressing room and the first player out of the tunnel and on to the pitch. France did it with Platini. Argentina did it with Maradona.’ If so, will the current England coach do the same with Rooney? He’s the best player, he’s done it before — against Brazil recently — but does he have the temperament to take on the jobfull-time?Steven Gerrard The skipper of Liverpool and England’s vice captain. He has won the European Cup and the FA Cup as a captain and so has the football pedigree. He’s well liked in the dressing room, too.Rio Ferdinand Vice captain of Manchester United, but his form has been patchy and he is currently serving a four-game ban for violent conduct.

yeah perfect solution, take the captaincy away from Terry and give it to the man who got a ban for failing/missing a drugs test, is disliked by a lot of his own clubs fans, and was responsible for organising that ill-advised United xmas party couple seasons back. And Rooney just doesn't need the hassle of it,
