RD is one of weaker "classics", '96 was a mad year in HH. RD gets mad play though.

I believe The Blueprint is better.

black album was the first jay-z album i heard and i thought it was sick

then some of the best songs got turned into singles which got dragged kicking and screaming across the airwaves and

received heavy rotations on music video channels. there's about 4 songs i'd still give the time of day on that release.

Reasonable Doubt is SO f*ck*ng OVERRATED.

It's only gained this "classic" status retrospectively, since Jay-Z's become so famous.

It wasn't seen as an instant classic when it came out, like 36 Chambers or The Chronic, or even Illmatic.

Classic my arse, it's a good 90s NY rap album, nothing more.
