So with SL1, what do/did you use to record onto? I've got an record output on my mixer and I have a mini disk recorder. Can I record onto the mini disk then record back onto serato using the mic input? But this way seems really long. I know with the SL3 you can record straight but I had not the money to cop the SL3 and a lappy at the same time.

Info welcomed.

Thanks.

I used to do the above when I first started out and as you said its looong, lol.

If you are lucky enough to have more than one laptop or another PC, you can record your mix straight into a program like sound forge, wave lab, etc from the audio out on your mixer and then just save it as a wav or mp3 file. then move it onto your original laptop via USB stick and can run it in serato.

Nowadays I jus use the Rane-TTM57sl mixer and that supports the serato software so you can just record your mixes straight to your hardrive.

Probably one of the best & useful products Ive ever purchased as a DJ/Producer
