Motivation in Life

Guest M12 Part 2

my potential

its all i have

potential for life is air

This is what i always say.

The older u get the more u need to start realising your potential. Need to realise potential does often get wasted. the longer you leave it and doss around the more people around u are learning and improving. Whenever i feel down i just think i gotta keep up the pace. dont wana be that guy who meets someone from primary school in 5 years and they are stacking more ps than me and living nicer when deep down i know i was smarter than them.

Already happend with football i aint gonna let general life slip past me as well.

You sound like someone that should have got a full time job instead of going uni. If you're not enjoying your course and socialising with other students you must be struggling to stay out of a depression.

Motivation for me is just massive optimism. I really and truly believe you can achieve the success you want (there is limits...for example i will never play in the premiership...something that has been difficult...but therapeutic for me to accept).

It has not all been positive for me because I've become more of a dreamer than a do'er.

The way I see it you have 1 life then you're dead. I need to start thinking that if I was told I had a terminal illness tomorrow with 7 months to live what would I be so angry I had wasted time not doing.

Most students are annoying little pricks but sometimes if you develop a positive attitude you will start to feed off theirs. If you're bringing negative vibes into uni and spreading it on other people then no one will be receptive toward you mane.

You're gonna have time in the future to be pissed off about life...not being able to wipe your own arse and maybe having to eat soup. Enjoy your youth (that goes out to everyone here including myself...not being a hypocrite).

best advice in here

mine was better tbh

HORSES

THIS

&

Knowing that the end result will be generous

I hear so many people say sh*t like Aww im bored I dont have anything to do, I don't have time to be bored or have nothing to do because when you have horses something always needs done.

It keeps things in perspective for me, & truely is one of the most rewarding things I've done that and the voluntary work with children.

You think you have it bad but YOU DON'T. You think your life is sh*t, IT IS NOT.

You are in you're current situation because you put yourself there, if you feel like there's a problem then you're the only one who can do something about it. Stop feeling sorry for youself, find out what the problem is and act on it. You say you come home and sit on the computer all day. Why not do something productive with you're time?

Lol @ anyone living in the UK really needing motivation though, most are to busy taking things for granted.

I did the bare minimum at uni, academically and socially, finished with maybe 2 good friends and a 2-2 degree. Just split up with my girl of many years and since then realised how little I was...living!

Try:

Exercise 5+ days a wee even a short 15 min jog

Spend less time on ur pc/xbox/ps3

That shud give u more energy, and time, just need money!

Work, or borrow from the bank or wherever you can, then go out and do stuff - there's so much to do at uni I regret not doing more. If u borrow money, don't worry, most students leave in a good bit of debt anyway.

worst bit of advice in the whole thread

My motivation in life is working hard enough so I can provide a good life for my children in the future and giving them everything they could need.

That's all well and good (also very cliche) but if you haven't got children now I think it would be a better idea to live your life before you start planning for all that. You don't want to be one of them mothers going to the places you're children go to, trying to eek out an existence you should have experienced 18 years ago.

Then again who am I to tell you how to live your life, I would never do this in real life but when I'm on this forum I love to sit on my high horse and speak condesceningly to everyone.

Nah I think the way I said it it's being misconstrued. What I'm doing now is setting up a stable life init, working properly 7 days a week sometimes saving money as much as possible to get a mortgage and do sh*t properly. Which in the future will benefit my children/family. If I can't have children I'm adopting. Plus I've lived enough of a life for three grown men, I live life trust me.

prefer to be in debt than depressed

depression is a mindset / chemical imbalance

debt is very real

"borrow some money and go do some sh*t" is jus a joke ting
