Is it me or is consistently good rap music a thing of the past? I'm constantly playing the same artists catalogues, sh*t gets boring, I want something new to get excited over or at least something old that I haven't heard before. Anyway this thread isn't about the current state of hip hop or the virtual monopoly/scorpion death-grip light skin rappers have over the industry, just about what you're listening to atm.

Freeway - It's a Good Day off Philadelphia Freeway 2. Same beat as Max's 'Moving on Out the Door' and something else. Shits wavy.

Dunno my boy always presents the argument 1 of the illest rappers of all time on classic beats vs 9 of the illest rappers of all time on classic beats (Illmatic vs 36 chambers) question is as hard as liquid swords or OB4CL

TBH, as you get older, feeling the same way you did about rap at that impressionable age is never going to happen again.

Saying that still, the overall quality has declined.

I'm more into melody-driven music, in terms of recent material. Trying to get into more dark, gritty sounds.
