Not sure about those guys but I love this shot so much

Done with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Obviously your gonna get a better result with a HD Video cam rather than an SLR but still. Rather pricey too at around £1500

That's sick.

They used a 5D Mark II for the 4Music Festivals advert

For colour, depth of field and night pickup SLR's are doing a lot imo

as seen in this

My 500D with a 50mm lens can take some nice HD footage.

Thats f*cked.. Did you shoot that?

Always wondered how they did that blur/focus effect.

Have heard alot of good reviews on this camera. well the 550d.

Yeah, I heard a few of them urban websites are using this. The cam is worth it

(Its like killing two birds with a stone)

I might invest in one.

blur/focus?

small depth of field? shallow focus or something, something to do with the 35mm lenses or some sh*t, I know camcorders cant do it without 35mm adapters, or 35mm

could prob find info here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field

theres new cams with super 35mm sensors, they go for about 5-7 bags

I've got the 60d, this was the first thing I shot on it with some old manual lenses ( used with an adaptor ) I bought for £15-20 off ebay.

Go on Ebay and search for canon FD lenses and cop a FD to AF converter and you're good to go.

Can get yourself a nice selection of lenses for under £100 to f*ck around with, there are some old lenses that are gems so just do a quick google search of any of the FD lenses you see on ebay and you'll be able to find out how good they are.

I shoot on 550d

The dslr have dropped in price.

I dont think alot of these manufacturers expected it take off like it did. (The video side of things)

Cheaper sensors are flooding the market. Thats the reason for the drop in prize.

One thing tho. These body are getting cheap but the lens, rig, mic, stabilizers, lights and what not is where the money goes. and if you dont invest in that. then you can really get the best of these cams.
