No he isn't
Arsene Wenger finally looks set to give in to calls to spend big in the transfer market this summer, with the latest news reports linking him to Dinamo Kiev's £10million-rated centre-back Pape Malickou Diakhate. The 25-year-old, who is currently on loan at St Etienne, has been watched by Wenger since he left AS Nancy in 2007.The Senegalese vice-captain will not go to the World Cup as his nation failed to qualify from the African section, but the French manager has made no secret of his desire to sign players before this summer's big tournament kicks off.Several clubs have also been linked with Diakhate - including Premier League rivals Chelsea as well as Bayern Munich and Juventus - although the Emirates Stadium is thought to be the imposing defender's first-choice destination. The signing of highly-rated striker Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux is a done deal, with the 26-year-old having revealed a free transfer agreement is in place ahead of his move being confirmed this month. But Wenger is on the look-out to strenghten in several other areas when the transfer window re-opens - particularly at centre-back where the futures of veterans Sol Campbell, William Gallas, and Mikael Silvestre are uncertain.
No he's not.

Arsenal star Bacary Sagna is looking forward to welcoming a new signing Marouane Chamakh later this month. And the Gunners full-back has back the Bordeaux striker to be a Premier League success story.Sagna said: "I know him. I played against him. He is top class."He is very good in the air and he scores a lot of goals from crosses. He keeps the ball very well and it will only benefit us to have a player like him in the team."

Arsène Wenger is confident that Arsenal will sign Marouane Chamakh soon. The 26-year-old Bordeaux striker has been heavily linked with a move to Emirates Stadium for some time but the transfer has yet to be rubber-stamped. Speaking to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday, Wenger suggested it was just a matter of time. "It is not officially done but we are confident on the boy,” he said. “When all is clear we will come out and announce it."

Arsène Wenger insists he has never tried to sign Brede Hangeland. The Fulham centre back was regularly linked with a move to Arsenal last summer and his name has cropped up again ahead of this summer’s transfer window. Wenger could be in the market for a defender but told Arsenal TV Online that Hangeland has not been on his radar. “I find he is a good player but we have never been in for him,” said the Frenchman.

Wenger better get his f*ck*ng wallet out. We can't be stupid and completely overhaul the squad just relegate certain man and bring in better players. We need to go to a diamond as well.IN: Hart/Neuer, Cahill/Kjaer, M.Diarra, ChamackOut: Almunia, Senderos, Silvestre, Eduardo-----------------------------------Hart/Neuer---------------------------------------Sags----------Cahill/Kjaer-------TV--------------Clichy-------------------------------------------------Diarra----------------------------------------------------------------Song----------------Diaby-----------------------------------------------------------------Cesc--------------------------------------------------------------------Arshavin---------RVP--------------------------------backup-----------------------------------Fabianski---------------------------------------Eboue----------Cahill/Kjaer-------Djourou--------------Gibbs------------------------------------------Song----------------------------------------------------------------Denilson------------Ramsey--------------------------------------------------------Nasri/Wilshere-----------------------------------------------------------Chamack-------Bendtner--------------------------wouldn't even cost too much P and puts pressure on players like Eboue, Djourou, Theo nd Ramsey to step up.

Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, according to the Ivorian's agent. The Ivory Coast international's agent, Dimitri Seluk, admitted he couldn't rule out the possibility his client would be heading to the Emirates Stadium, with Gunners chief Arsene Wenger a keen admirer of the combative midfielder's abilities."Yaya [Toure] is happy at Barcelona and will only leave for a big project at a big club", Seluk told The People."But in England there are sides with great prestige and that could be decisive."Arsene Wenger knows Yaya, and I am convinced he could be a success with Arsenal."The Catalans giant have made no secret of their desire to bring their youth product Cesc Fabregas back to the Nou Camp, but Wenger has consistently rebuffed any advances for his stellar performer and captain. However, it remains to be seen whether Toure will play a part in persuading the Frenchman to part with his most prized asset.

Read that we're in for Melo again
Wouldn't mind that even though he aint played well for Juve he could still bang for Brazil and they will then they may want to keep him even though i heard the fans don't like him then again the whole team has played sh*t so boy....They won't want to have too much of a big loss either, how much were we willing to pay before?

Bit of a wildcard.I think Balotelli is the kind of player you don't just straight-up try to discipline. You genuinely have to make him feel loved, and Wenger would do that. It's just once he's realized that potential, I don't know if he'd be loyal & respect the shirt. There's not enough ol' heads at Arsenal to make him understand what it means to wear the shirt, and I think eventually he'd f*ck off in Anelka fashion.f*ck that.

Arsenal could do with a traditional winger and not an attacking midfielder just put out wide.
Yes but someone better and more consistent than SWP please
would you man take super mario?
Yeah would love him from the reports but he could f*ck up the dressing room with his attitude hopefully Wenger could help him though
