That one come out of nowhere, had mates phoning and asking "Who is this guy?". What he does have is a duel passport.Guess for now he is adding squad players to replace the ones expected to go then in come a few others, we can only hope. Also linked with Downing and Falcao.

Benzema looks like he is all yours Mourinho wants Adebayor to stay(Jose has begged Perez to make it happen) :D Adebayor or Drogba would not surprise me one bit if he actually wanted to sign both!Falcao apparently has rejected a new contract which still means his buyout clause is a steal

Evra: Samir must leave GunnersPATRICE EVRA has told Samir Nasri: Ditch Arsenal and become a winner at Manchester United.French full-back Evra was a key player for United as they clinched their 19th league title earlier this month. And he will look to add a Champions League final winners' medal to his collection when his side face Barcelona on Saturday.Since moving to Old Trafford in 2006, Evra has won 11 trophies, including four Premier League titles, three Carling Cups and the Champions League. In contrast, Nasri — who joined the Gunners in 2008 from Marseille — has won nothing. The midfielder, 23, is out of contract next summer and is mulling over Arsenal's offer of a new deal. But his France team-mate Evra reckons the man he calls 'the little prince' should quit the Emirates in favour of a move to Manchester.Evra said: "If Samir comes, he has to know there is no room for mistakes. Each year you are playing to win. That is Manchester United's culture."Each year it is a guarantee of a title. I have been at Manchester for five years now and I can't remember how many trophies I have won. 13? 15?"So, 'Petit Prince', if you want to become King you know where you have to go."

Karim Benzema's agent has denied travelling to London last week to discuss a potential 25million euro (£21.6m) transfer to Arsenal.Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has admitted his interest in the Real Madrid striker as he bids to find the solution to six years without a trophy.Real are reported to want to raise money for the permanent signing of Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City and Benzema's representative, Karim Djaziri, was said to have travelled to England last week for talks with Arsenal.Djaziri insists that did not happen, but he has not ruled out the possibility after intimating that his client is unhappy at his limited opportunities under Jose Mourinho at Real."I went to London for personal business, not to discuss any transfer," said Djaziri."Karim Benzema has a contract with Real Madrid so let's wait and see."He loves Madrid and wants to play every time as he loves playing football."
Andrey Arshavin divides opinion like no other player at Arsenal. He is a fantastic talent, skilful and, as Arsene Wenger keeps pointing out, his statistics in terms of appearances, goals and assists are impressive.Arshavin made a total of 37 appearances in the Premier League, scored six goals, made 11 assists and his pass-completion rate was 75 per cent, according to Opta. But the flip-side is that if you watch him live regularly then there is always a sense of frustration because you know he is capable of much, much more. There was a classic moment in the second half at Fulham on Sunday when Arshavin played a careless pass straight to the Cottagers' Andy Johnson. The Russian stood still, almost shrugged his shoulders and then jogged back after Arsenal conceded a corner solely because of his mistake. There was no apology to team mates, no acknowledging his error. That is the problem. Arshavin is such an incredibly frustrating player. He can win games on his own by unlocking defences with a brilliant pass and yet at other times he doesn't look interested.Arshavin is poor at tracking back to help out full-back. And yet there is no way in the world that he would consider himself to either be either a winger or wide midfield player. He wants to be a playmaker in the middle of things. The Russian doesn't look as lean or honed as Samir Nasri or Theo Walcott, for example, so maybe you won't expect to see him scampering up and down the flank throughout the game. But his ability is not in doubt. He's one of those players who is magical and, on his day, is worth the admission fee alone. But, despite those stats, he should do more. And that's the frustration.Arshavin is not not going to score a hat-trick in every game and provide six assists, but there's certainly more in the tank.He was hooked at half-time at Stoke after conceding a free-kick which led to the home side's opening goal. Then he was on the bench at Fulham and didn't look particularly enthusiastic when he came on.That has been the story of Arsenal's run-in - a few too many players had gone on their holidays early and it has cost the Gunners third place. It's been a sloppy end-of-season which must have left Wenger questioning a few players.Robin van Persie has had an exceptional end to the campaign and yet for many others tiredness, injuries and fatigue have crept in.Wojciech Szczesny has had a good season, Bacary Sagna was as reliable as ever, Johan Djourou has done well, Nasri had a great first half to the campaign, Walcott has come of age and Jack Wilshere enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough year. But Arshavin has not shone in the way that you would expect from a £12million signing, a player signed because he was in the 'world-class' bracket after Euro 2008.I love to see a different, mercurial talent. And Arshavin is certainly that. He's been brilliant to watch on occasion. But if he goes this summer then he will leave with a sense of disappointment after not having fulfilled expectation at Arsenal.Arsenal are likely to consider offers for Arshavin along with a few others: Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, Abou Diaby, Carlos Vela, Gael Clichy. It's going to be an interesting summer with plenty of comings and goings. Hopefully the senior signings that will be made will be exciting, proven Premier League talents. But if there is a clear-out, then it will be so disappointing if Arshavin goes. He's by far and away the most talented of the potential departures and no-one wants to see such a gifted entertainer leaveRead more: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/john-cross/Half-hearted-Andrey-Arshavin-s-skill-is-not-in-doubt-but-his-commitment-is-and-could-see-him-leave-Arsenal-John-Cross-column-article740693.html#ixzz1NRAFa5fF

Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira could make a surprise return to his old club - as a coach. The midfielder is set to be released by Manchester City in the coming weeks, having made just 16 starts for them this season. He wants to stay in England but is not interested in playing on at a lower level.Heading for the exit: Vieira is set to be released by City, having made just 16 starts this seasonArsene Wenger is considering him for a coaching role and it is possible Roberto Mancini could offer the Champions League veteran a similar position. Vieira, 34, could be just what Arsenal need to give them a winning mentality and provide guidance for their young players. It would be an emotional reunion for Wenger and Vieira, who had nine successful years together at Arsenal until 2005. Going home? Wenger is poised to appoint Vieira as a coachIt is also likely to please Arsenal fans who feel the squad lacks experience. It may even be a part-time role, which would give Vieira the time he wants to spend with his family.

Arsenal have finalised the capture of Barcelona starlets Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin.Barca have been left fuming at losing two of their latest top talents from their 'Cadet' squad.Barcelona offered the 16-year-olds contracts at Camp Nou, but both have decided their futures would be best served in England.Arsenal agreed a deal for central midfielder Toral - who has an English mother - earlier in the year and they have now followed that up by finalising a deal for the equally highly-rated Bellerin. The young forward, also 16, had offers from Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa but he instead opted to move to Arsenal, a path a number of players have now opted to take when leaving Barca. In recent years, the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Fran Merida and Ignasi Miquel have all left Catalunya for Colney. Both Toral and Bellerin have signed five-year deals with Arsenal and Arsene Wenger is sure to be delighted to have landed two of Spain's brightest young prospects. The deals were completed ironically as Barca's senior squad trained at Arsenal ahead of their UEFA Champions League final clash with Manchester United this Saturday.skysports

You think Barca are really that botheredWe are just babysitting them on their behalf coz its not as if they will play in barcas first team any time soonIf it ever comes to that stage that they become good enough to break into their team they will no doubt express desire to 'return home' to their family and friends and the team they supported as a child :D Were any feeder club for them
