"Lost in translation with a whole f*ckin' nation,

They say I was the abomination of Obama's nation, well that's a pretty bad way to start the conversation."

Sample is Ozzy Osbourne - 21st Century Schizoid Man

Had the tune on repeat.

Ozzy covered King Crimson. Kayne sampling that is mad! Album will be top drawer tbh.

Where is Creamy, his presence in this room is missed.

According to an in-depth LA Weekly story on Madlib (via XXL), the California beat master just might end up in the credits on Kanye West's forthcoming fifth album. West put "five Madlib beats on hold for his new album," according to the piece, though no word if any of the productions will make the final cut. Apparently, Kanye also nearly fell over in a backless chair while visiting Madlib at some point-- what I would give to see a video of that meeting of the (not exactly normal) minds.

Other producers rumored to have contributed to the new Kanye album include Q-Tip, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and the RZA. The record is supposedly due out September 14.

In other Madlib news, the prolific studio wiz is in the midst of putting out around 16 albums this year-- check out his Stones Throw page for more info.

only problem with late Registration is it lacks the cohesion all the others do

musically it sounds like a kid in a candy store, or kanye in a studio.. with a big budget i.e. f*ck it let me throw another gospel choir / string section in here

too many collabs and sounds like he just kept adding one more track... and... one more track.

just being objective here btw

i would like this album to be more Graduation in that way, refined.

also, if this is boom bap i wouldnt throw drake, nicki, foxx and perry on it...

but, as always... i trust that crazy mofo so will eat words later with a side of humble pie

On a surface level, I first thought that, but after repetive listening, I think it definitely does have this 'theme' i.e. very grandiose, score-like cohesion. You could really tell Jon Brion was behind the album.
