Even the houses in and around the blocks are decent and a good size, a fair few are multi story

Was talking to a German don, he was copping a whip and we got to talking about leasing and buying cars which turned into renting and owning homes and he was very anti buying on both. Said he and many other Europeans don't understand the UK love obsession with wanting to buy.

At the moment croydon/bromley u get a 1 bedroom for under 9 bills

Croydon is on the up an up so that wont last

But there are still a lot of dusty neglected bits of SE an BR that are barely affordable

Why's this?

Got myself on a new fixed deal with the mortgage, house price went up £40,000 in 22 months so was able to get a high LTV rate.

Mortgage is 875 now which is a lot less than rent would be for this property.
