2010 Barclaycard Mercury Prize Announced

The Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2010 Albums of the Year have been announced. Speaking from The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, Lauren Laverne revealed this year's albums:

Biffy Clyro 'Only Revolutions'

Villagers 'Becoming A Jackal'

Corinne Bailey Rae 'The Sea'

Mumford & Sons ‘Sigh No More’

Paul Weller 'Wake Up The Nation'

Wild Beasts 'Two Dancers'

Kit Downes Trio ‘Golden’

Laura Marling 'I Speak Because I Can'

Dizzee Rascal 'Tongue N’ Cheek'

Foals 'Total Life Forever'

I Am Kloot 'Sky At Night'

The xx 'xx'

After the announcements the crowd was treated to exclusive acoustic performances from Villagers, who played the rousing 'Becoming A Jackal', and Corinne Bailey Rae, who stunned the room with a captivating rendition of 'The Sea'.

None of them had good albums apart from the XX

Corinne Bailey Rae had an amazing album.

!!!

Mumford and Son / Laura Marling are good also.
