Bellamy, Ireland, Jo and Silva also omitted from Shittys Europa Leage 25man Squad

Summer signing David Silva also missed out as City must name eight 'locally-trained players' in their 25-man squad, which included Academy product Shaleum Logan and Michael Johnson, who has struggled with injury for the last two years.

Silva could feature in the knock-out stage, however, as City can change three players for the Round of 32 should they progress from the group stage.

City must win a play-off against FC Timisoara to reach the group stage, with the first leg in Romania on 19th August.

Squad: Given, Hart, Taylor; Boateng, K. Toure, Lescott, Kolarov, Richards, Zabaleta, Bridge, Logan; A. Johnson, Barry, De Jong, Y. Toure, Kompany, M. Johnson, Vieira, Wright-Phillips; Adebayor, Robinho, Santa Cruz, Tevez.

So how will the PL quotas effect them then?

Surely if Milner and Ballo are signed that means 2 players from that 25 will miss out on being registered for the 25 in the PL as I am sure the rules are the same if not very similar?

And lol @ the number of DM they have

37 pro's

20 Home-grown players

6 players don't need to be registered.

Leaves 31 pro's, 6 need to excluded, 7 if you include the signings of Milner, Balotelli wouldn't need to be included.

Likely 7 IMO

1. Nedum Onuoha (going on loan to Sunderland)

2. Michael Johnson (stays injured, review it in January)

3. Stephen Ireland (go Aston Villa)

4. 1 of the GKs (dunno why they re-signed Taylor afer signing Gonzalez unless they know Hart or Given isn't going to accept 2nd choice)

5. Craig Bellamy (go Spurs)

6. Felipe Caicedo (lprobably on loan)

7. Robinho/Santa Cruz/Jo/Etuhu/Logan (either permenant or loan deals for one of those)

Ye good post

Looks like Robinho is staying though and Santa Cruz cuz they both named in the Euro Squad and so did Logan and Johnson can they have they a 24 man squad with a home grown player being sold before the window shuts (logan)

I swear Caicedo wouldn't need to be registered yet either because of age?

Keep forgetting Ballo is just a teenager

In the Premier League if you name a 25 man squad you have to have 8 "home grown" players included, however if you name 24 you then only need 7 home grown players, 23 - 6, etc...

Nah Caicedo is 21 now, turns 22 in September, year of birth is 1988, you have to be 1989. Same for Boateng who is 1988. Where as Javan Vidal who is also 21 now, but has already had his birthday this year, doesn't need to be registered until next season.

Lol @ Bellamy controlling his temper and learning German for the last part of his career.

You just KNOW certain man are NEVER going abroad.

>>>British.

Bellamy would kill Scotland.

30 league goals business.

c/s both points

Don't think "small pond syndrome" has anything to do with it tbh.

He's been up here before, he loves the club and the fans, he has a good relationship with Lennon, and he'll have a chance to win more trophies. Away from Celtic, all he's ever won is the Charity Shield, think about that.

And Celtic are a massive club, with history and heritage, and a massive worldwide fanbase. Who the f*ck are Wolfsburg?
