Short Courses/Free Courses

Well, I'm not getting a job anytime soon.

So I've decided to pick up a short course before uni starts in October, to try and boost the CV.

I've taken a look at a few sites, and some are pretty costly for even 1 days worth of learning, has anybody done any of these, are they worth it?

Any general advice and help to offer?

This is one thats already put me off, I'm looking to do anything beneficial to my employability tbh, not just finance.
