No wonder these lot aint been in regular Eastenders the past few weeks (I don't think they have anyways). Also seen an advert on Channel 4, Hollyoaks catting this idea with their own online mini series which I think is based on the freshers.

its actually a good idea to bring thru new peoples then gradually slide them through to the big screen - it could be a tester thing

Oh my bad, completely new cast. So are Fatboy and the others still regular characters in normal Eastenders? They haven't been about for a while?

LOL @ how they're concentrating on the ethnics for this. Almost as if it's testing lab to see whether to up the minority characters in regular Eastenders to not just include token families. But saying that I bet the black characters still end up being related to Denise/Patrick etc and the Asian ting ends up being part of Sayeed's family.

Eastenders E20 is another kick in the teeth for the UK's BAMER communities imo.

nah they all get there air time in each series, then there is an online vote for what characters u want to become permanent cast
