But do you seriously think these labels are signing young street artists as an asset to project the long term future and stability of the company?

Shareholders know the likes of Sorcher, Wiley, Chipmunk, Griminal are artists with a short life span, they target music to a rapidly unstable generation who'll be in and out of their scene in a flash and its wise to recruit as many of these artists to bleed the genre dry before dropping them untill the next hot money spinning genre is around the corner.

You look at these artists and although they may have good lyrics they'll never be able to fulfull themselves in the long run as a marketing product due to the lack of all round musical ability which is why it's probably best you youngsters should get yourselves into Music degrees and try not limit yourself to quick success as it will be your downfall.

Well YEAH, of course

As soon as the artist becomes unprofitable they get dropped, what would you do if you were a label boss? It's all about making money, these artists wouldn't usually be getting that exposure, let's be honest, they're not the next Beatles- like musical prodigies, so make them and yourself some money and in a few years no one wil remember

wiley as a producer can sustain a very lengthy career

c/s the rest of Abdul's post

these artists should be pressin their cds themselves, sellin them themselves, and caking from live performances, if the pie is anything like what was shown.
