Lost my phone...

So I lost my phone last night... Blackberry Bold 9700

I was intoxicated (and high) when I lost it, but I sort of know how I did (went to put it in trouser pocket and it slipped away)

Had it locked this morning, but I told Vodafone it was 'stolen' (was this a smart move?)

Anyway I can get a replacement handset cheaper? Will telling 'em I was in a club lower my chances? I don't mind claiming it was stolen from me...

I've no insurace... Any ideas what I can do or are lost and stolen treated the same by mobile companies?

If you have no insurance, I don't see how telling them it was lost or stolen is going to get you anything. Not their responsibility to do anything at all.
