Lol...Djourou still gets turned too easy, which when he seems to have lost the yard of pace he had is incredibly worrying. However the most important thing is he has a history of being as unreliable as Robin van Persie.

Arsène Wenger has revealed the reasons for in-form defender Johan Djourou being in and out of the Arsenal team. The centre-back has been one of the Gunners' most consistent performers at the back so far this season, but has often found himself behind the error-prone Laurent Koscielny.Wenger insists that he is pleased with Djourou's progress, but after a year out for the Swiss international, the boss believes he has to be cautious over his player's fitness. The manager explained: "He [Djourou] is doing very well. He has been out for a year and as you have noticed I have rotated him a little bit."The players know that from game to game we rotate and everybody will have to start in our squad."We do not want to lose him and a guy that has been out for a year you cannot play him three games a week. From the start of the season he has gone from strength to strength and today, in the difficult period when we had to defend in the air, he was dominant."He has not only shown dominance but also personality. That's why I am very happy. He came here as a midfielder and we transformed him into a centre back."Djourou came on as a substitute in the win over Fulham for Koscielny after the defender collided with Sebastien Squillaci.Wenger has now revealed his summer signing from Lorient will be out of action for an unspecified length of time, after suffering concussion.Wenger added: "[Koscielny has] concussion. I don't know what the medical people will say and how long he will not play."
