Tevez Dropping Some Real Talk

Tevez has given his all for Man City, Man Utd & West Ham, if he is genuinely that home sick and returns to Argentina than its not a spineless act.

It's a question of professionalism.

You shouldn't be signing contracts all willy-nilly, which he has.

Guy's been in the country for what, 4 years & still can't talk English? f*ck outta here.

Tevez has a excuse tho in his family not wanting to live in Manchester.

Should told them to go live in London or Spain, not Argentina cos its unlike he going back to play there.

That's my point, as a professional, you should pre-empt issues like this in advance.

I'm sure he & his people had a feeling living in Manchester was going to be a problem from early.

he had the chancee to leave manchester 2 summers ago when united decided they didnt want/couldnt affoird him

instead of leaving the city that has caused him so much heartache and to be apart from his family

he decided to stay, cross a divide, nd join city, a step down, a team out of the CL

on a 5 year contract

i wonder why tevez and kia decided to do this

it couldnt of been his love for man city as he has mugged them off over the last week starting with mancini substitution , and now the fans with this request

ihe stayed in manchester cos of money the exact thing tevez was slating other players off for

personally i aint got a real problem with an argentinian who comes to europe and is a mercenary he aint got no real affection to the clubs

its a business nowadays ,make ur money, him nd kia have done this well

but when u try nd cuss other player for the same thing your doing then u look abit silly

C'mon bro.

London is one of the capital cities of the world & much more of a melting pot than Manny.

But from time man ain't even bothered to learn English, he can forget this country altogether.

Not entirely sure how living in London would make much of a difference.

They lived there before, and I'm sure there a lil Argentina/South America somewhere in London, where as I know there aint in Manchester.

From one shitehole to another. There's minimal difference between the big cities in this country. Especially ones that'd appeal to an illiterate Argentine.

He's not used to the climate, he can't watch TV, he can't read the newspaper, he can't buy a car, do food shopping, go to the cinema, go to a restaurant etc. without a translator.

Like say moving 200miles down south is going to change any of that.

Atleast Citeh are rich enough and dumb enough to let him fly home every other week.

/

f*ck him off anyway, he's a clown and he's not that good. But Citeh brought this on themselves, why on why they need the likes of Robinho and Tevez and pander to their every need.

Why do they persist with these players?

Wantaway City captain Carlos Tevez begs United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to take him back

Manchester United have been approached with a sensational offer to buy Carlos Tevez back from their neighbours City.

Contact was made this week by a party closely connected with striker Tevez, who quit Old Trafford in May 2009, with a view to finding out whether United manager Sir Alex Ferguson would be interested in re-signing him.

What's it all about? Carlos Tevez (centre) during training this week

Ferguson was made aware of the approach, which was neither at City's behest nor with their knowledge, but sources close to Old Trafford indicate there is absolutely no chance of the player returning, even if City did decide to sell.

With Tevez ready to return to play against Everton in a game which could take City to the top of the table, the club show no signs of buckling under the pressure of the player's publicly-stated desire to leave. And they continue to point the finger of blame for the turmoil at the player's advisor Kia Joorabchian.

Victory over Everton on Monday would mean Mancini's men would be top on Christmas Day for the first time in 81 years.

Strained relationship: Roberto Mancini held talks with unsettled star Tevez

City announced last week that they had rejected a written transfer request and are adamant that the player will be staying until at least the end of the season.

The suitability of Tevez continuing as captain is under consideration by City manager Roberto Mancini, with defender Vincent Kompany poised to take over if he takes a hard line over the saga.

Suggestions that Tevez wants to return permanently to South America because he is homesick and missing his daughters Florencia and Katie - and that he has considered quitting the game - are viewed with suspicion by the City hierarchy two of whom he claims that his relationship with has broken down irretrievably, chief executive Garry Cook and administrator Brian Marwood.

It is, however, believed that Tevez, 26, has told those close to him that he plans to retire from the sport at the age of 30 anyway.

Amazing twist: Ferguson was made aware of Tevez approach

Given permission by the club last weekend to have a short overseas holiday, Tevez chose to go to Tenerife rather than Buenos Aires, where his daughters live.

And last week he was seen in the arms of his new girlfriend, the 18-year-old actress Brenda Asnicar, in London.

City contend that Tevez himself has no problems with the club or the people who run it and that the current situation is an extravagant attempt to improve his current contract which, according to informed sources, already stipulates that no other player can be paid more than he is.

It puts him alongside Yaya Toure on £200,000 a week, also meaning that, if he did leave, only a few clubs could afford to have him on their books.

A City insider said: 'Carlos has been back training with his usual enthusiasm. He will not only return to the side against Everton on Monday, but he is determined to play a part in the team's push for as high a Premier League finish as they can achieve.

'The club have demonstrated where they stand. Carlos is going nowhere. Now all we want is to concentrate on winning as many matches as we can between now and the end of the season.'

Fergie would be to stubburn to sign him back,

i m mean come on we should've signed him up when we signed Berba, (and i'm a Berba fan) but we parred Tevez, he never wante to leave United in the 1st place but after 2 years of talk we decided that we should par him in the negotiations, this is why i always question United fans on here when they slew him,

coz during that saga when he was making very clear that he wanted to sign a permanant contract ppl were on his side, then we parred it to the fullest degree and he didnt want to accept the utter disrespect, (especially considering his contribution in his time at United.

i agree with what JJ said to a degree, yeah there probably abit more of a South American Community/Argentine community in London, but it isn't gonna be that much of a difference,

Quite simply Carlos Tevez is the type of player every fan loves, he gives off the impression that he'd die for the cause and will willingly run himself into the ground,

in a time where loyalty is at a premium and players being willing to work that hard is rare, he stands out, and i hope he ends up being happy next season. whether that means he's at City in Argentina or in Spain, or clutching at straws, at United

Tevez set to lose City captaincy

Carlos Tevez to be stripped of Man City captaincy

Mancini retains hope that he can talk captain Tevez into staying

By Dan Roan

BBC Sport News Correspondent

Roberto Mancini is set to strip Carlos Tevez of the Manchester City captaincy, BBC Sport understands.

The two met on Friday afternoon at the club's Carrington training ground to discuss the striker's transfer request.

City play Everton on Monday with Mancini considering handing the armband to Kolo Toure or Vincent Kompany.

The manager is yet to inform the club of his decision, but senior officials believe he is most likely to reinstate Toure as skipper.

The defender was made captain under Mark Hughes but replaced by Tevez in the summer in a bid to make the Argentine stay at Eastlands.

Despite the outcome of today's meeting between Tevez and Mancini, we need to give Tevez the same cheers when we hear his name as any other week. We need to show Tevez that he is still wanted and very much needed

The Return of Mancinis Scarf

On Sunday morning, Toure was still unaware of whether he would be captain against Everton, but Mancini is believed to regard him as the best option until Tevez's future is resolved.

City rejected a written transfer request from Tevez last week and have made it clear they will not sell him in January, with Eastlands football administrator Brian Marwood declaring on Friday he expects the striker to honour his contract, which runs until July 2014.

Manager Mancini has also spoken publicly of his hopes of convincing Tevez his future lies with City, who are third in the Premier League table on 32 points - two points behind leaders Manchester United but having played a game more.

"He is our player and I hope he continues to play and score for us," said Mancini.

Tevez, 26, claimed an irreparable breakdown in his relationship with "certain executives" was the basis for his desire to leave City.

He was not in the party that travelled to Italy for Thursday's 1-1 Europa League draw with Juventus, with Mancini instead giving a number of fringe players a run-out with qualification to the last 32 already assured.

Marwood has suggested that some of the figures surrounding Tevez, who is advised by Iranian Kia Joorabchian, may be agitating for a move.

However, Joorabchian, who claims to have tried to talk Tevez into staying, has said that the striker's desire to leave stems in part from City's failure to qualify for this season's Champions League.

Tevez joined City in 2009 following a two-year spell with rivals Manchester United.

He scored 29 goals in his debut season and has managed 10 in 18 appearances since Mancini handed him the captaincy prior to the start of the current campaign.

But less than 17 months into a five-year contract, the former Boca Juniors, Corinthians and West Ham forward asked to leave.
