Yup, a movie made 100% from scenes in GTA.... havnt watched it yet but sounds sick.

French filmmaker and advert director Mathieu Weschler has created a feature-length film, made entirely with footage captured from Grand Theft Auto IV.

The 88 minute long movie, Trashmaster, features a vigilante sanitation worker who juggles his responsibilities of clearing up garbage with taking on New York City's criminal underworld. It took Weschler two years to record, edit and produce and is not only a rather stunning achievement, it's also surpringly watchable.

Weschler's synopsis is as follows. "The trashmaster divides his time between collecting garbage and cleaning up other forms of trash fouling up New York City's streets: dealers and small-time criminals. When the dancers in his favourite strip club are mysteriously killed, the trashmaster finds himself hot on the trail of a particularly twisted serial killer."

GTA's PC edition features built-in movie making tools, letting you watch a replay of your progress and save or upload your clips. And while there have been plenty of stupid stunts, action scenes and short stories recorded in Rockstar's open world crime epic, Trashmaster is easily the most grandiose example yet.

The art of making movies using a video game engine is called machinima (a mangled portmanteau of "machine" and "cinema"), and has become a mammoth subculture within gaming. It's gone from a hobbyist niche to a feature bundled in with some of today's biggest games, as The Sims, Halo 3, World of Warcraft and, of course, Grand Theft Auto IV all encourage machinima through built-in tools.
