Jackie Chan films in different patches.. early sh*t - when he was a stuntman/action co-ordinator establishing himself as lead star, shackled into doing the conventional Hong Kong pieces of the time (late 70s), wandering warrior, wise master/unruly student etc - with varying degrees of creative control. Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin, Half a Loaf of Kung Fu, Dragon Fist, Snake In The Eagle's Shadow are highlights

first classics - when he was given full creative control in the early 80s and began banging out the sick first hits. Drunken Master, Fearless Hyena, Young Master, Winners and Sinners

classic era/purple patch - Wheels on Meals, Project A, Police Story 1 & 2, Armour of God

90's action - Rumble In The Bronx, First Strike, Mr Nice Guy, Who Am I

Hollywood hits - Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon/Knights, Karate Kid

It's a shame he was stuck so long with a shitty studio forced to do crap, because by the time he'd proved himself, been given control and fully hit his artistic stride, he was already in early 30s. If he had some more years shooting his own projects with that mad/manic Blanka-like explosve youthful energy he would have put together some even more epic sh*t

the badly dubbed 70's ones >>>>>>>

Yep def, its what added to them, seems like every black father has a collection

/

Father/Friend/Master gets killed by the local "tough guy"

He attempts to avenge his death, gets beat/not taken seriously

Has a random fight an old master/fathers friend see the potential in him, normally has white beard

Trains he with funny methods such as balancing pos of water on thighs in a certain position, attempting to get a bow of rice from the master (who is sleeping) but doesnt succeed

Feels he is ready to avenge the death, wins the fight

Withing 3 seconds of the guy dying, The End credits come up. Nothing after, no wrap up of the story etc. Just The End
