i have 2 hard drives in my pc and my C drive is f*ck*ng up there is no fix

so if i take that the C drive out will my other hard drive become the main drive by default?

Nahh cos your OS is on the C: drive

does your cpu still boot?

yeah, but if i take it out ill just use the recovery disc on my other drive to bring it back to factory settings or wont that work?

it needs to have an os installed and your bios must be able to detect it

when you restart your computer, enter the bios and look for the setting to change 'boot priority', make your 2nd hdd #1 priority.

this way you can still access files on your dodgy hdd when you need them, whilst having your os loaded on a stable hdd

you're only booting from 1 drive, so no.

is your 2nd hdd ide or sata?

ide's use cables like this

sata use cables like this

if it's an ide you'll need to set the jumper on your 2nd drive as the 'master' and vice-versa on the old drive if you wish to continue using it. (so you're effectively switching them around)

the jumper is the little plasticy thing which is slotted into 'master' in this image.

pull yours out and place them in their appropriate slots (no homo) if necessary

if you're using a sata drive you won't need to worry about that
