Name me the games Ronaldo got marked out of?

Maradona i was told he got marked out once that's against Brazil in Italia 90 but he was still the difference with the pass to Canigga.

Ronaldo was unplayable there is no myth seriously you just don't get players like that.

Vieri was a beast aswell

Off the top of my head, quality strikers from Serie A

Batistuta

Vialli

Zola

Baggio

Totti

Mancini

Cassano

R9

Del Piero

Super Pippo

Oliver Bierhoff

Andriy Shevchenko

George Weah

Beppe Signori

Vinchenzo Montella

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Enrio Chiesa

Hernan Crespo

Must have missed out a few, Vieri might get in actually but to say he was better than R9 is preposterous

Only number 9

Ronaldo

Batigol

Weah

Shevchenko

Crespo

Were better

I doubt the likes of Inzaghi,Zamarano,Montella,Bierhoff were but Trezeguet is debatable.

What was Signori a second striker?

Wait, you think R9 banged every game he played?

LOOOOL

Its a good thing you put R9 because all this time I was thinking MK must be talking about Cristiano.

Name five games he got man marked in from 96-98

You are naming a lot of number 10s so its difficult to compare some of them with Vieri

Edit - didn't realise You wrote Pippo

Still, the sheer disrespect You show by not naming David Trezeguet will not be ignored.

and off topic, You lot had some topic about player loyalty. would like to propose Raul Gonzalez was nothing but loyal to Real Madrid, and only left because of competition for a place, and probably forced out, but still, loyal servant for 15/16 seasons

Meireles what was Your gamertag again?

Lens do you remember that crazy bid Roman(his first season) put for Raul?(Real accepted it but Raul didn't want to leave he was begging Perez to let him stay and legend has it Raul was crying)

At that four only Eto'o.

Adriano looked like it when he was at Parma and when he first returned to Inter. Anelka you have to remember the guy has won the golden bin title aleast twice now.

Another thing MK says Ronaldo being unplayable was a myth. You have to remember he isn't wasn't one of the guys Pundits,Fans,Commentators used to say "if he is in the mood he is simply unplayable"

He isn't Drogba/Torres/Zlatan and them other inconsistent guys this is O Fenemeno we are talking about here he was always in the mood.

In his time, If Treziguet moved to a more illustrious club he would have had field days which would have got him to super stardom. Too bad he was kept at Juve for 10 years, he should have followed Vieira and Thuram out the club. He certainly would have had a bigger reputation if he did move.

Does anyone think Trezeguet could of been a bigger star? His goal record his phenomenal, but when thinking about top strikers in the last 10 years, he always comes up as an after thought, to me at least.

Trezeguet one of the best finishers in modern times with both feet and his head but his link up play was left to be desired

But you have a point of him being one of the top strikers in the last ten years.

Shevchenko 97-02 was peak

By the way who remembers Amoroso at Udinese/Parma?

Back to Ronaldo

Apart from UCL(he joined Real too late and Inter were pie)/Serie A(only because of Moggi)

Won the WC twice(even though he grabbed the first medal when nobody was looking)

I still remember his first comeback Copa America 99(Ronaldo was unplayable alongside Rivaldo/Alex de Souza) Ronaldinho's goal against Venezuela!!!!!!

Anyways.

You see nothing from 2000 until late 2002(Like to see one of the best players in the world not play for two years and see how they recover)

i honestly havent seen a better player then Ronaldo @ Barcelona

best performance for me was Inter vs Lazio in '98, probably the best individual performance to date

There is a video of that performance on youtube. When he scored that goal I was like "WOW I can't wait for France 98 and watch this guy run riot"

I won't lie I have bookmarked it.

As individual performances go, Ronaldhino at the Bernabeu, R9 at Old Trafford must also get special mentions.

I really wish Ronaldhino never fell off so early, was a joy to switch on and watch him play football.

The 3 R’s on that counter v England, leaving A Cole on his “jacksy” lol

Sick times

Couldnt handle him in that league, ended up just hacking man down.

Who was the player behind him, De La Pena ? bald headed guy

Yeah De La Pena he was a problem then he went to Lazio became a problem to himself.

Shoutouts to Pep/Figo/Luis Enrique/Giovanni that year as well.
