Manchester United's trip to Liverpool on Sunday takes centre stage but Arsenal can cut their lead at the summit to just a point with victory over Sunderland on Saturday.Manchester City will continue their pursuit of the top two with a home date against rock-bottom Wigan, while Tottenham can move above Chelsea and back into fourth if they overcome struggling Wolves.Birmingham must swiftly forget their Carling Cup success and return to the grit of a relegation scrap as they host Midlands rivals West Brom, while Aston Villa's line-up is sure to be scrutinised as they travel to Bolton.West Ham could scramble out of the bottom three if they can see off Stoke at Upton Park, Newcastle welcome a dejected Everton to St James' Park and Blackburn will be keen to arrest their slide down the table when they make the trip to Fulham.LockedSir Alex Ferguson has elected not to speak to the press in the build-up to Sunday's clash between Manchester United and Liverpool, presumably in a bid to avoid further debate over his comments relating to referee Martin Atkinson in the wake of the Red Devils' 2-1 defeat by Chelsea in midweek, for which he has been charged by the FA. United suffered only their second reverse in the Premier League this season at Stamford Bridge following Frank Lampard's contentious late penalty and head to the home of their fierce local rivals with the two teams locked on 18 domestic league crowns. The Reds would love nothing more than to derail Ferguson's attempts to overtake them, but also go into the game on the back of a defeat having gone down to West Ham last time out.Arsene Wenger has named the Premier League title as the top priority for his side this season and Arsenal can cut United's advantage at the top to just one point when they host Sunderland on Saturday afternoon. Fears of a Carling Cup hangover following their Wembley setback were eased when a much-changed side brushed aside Leyton Orient in the FA Cup on Wednesday and many of the men beaten by Birmingham will be back on the field against the Black Cats. For the visitors, Steve Bruce needs to address a run of four consecutive defeats which have badly dented their European ambitions, although the Wearsiders remain within striking distance of Liverpool.Birmingham are sure to have toasted their shock Carling Cup success under the Wembley arch with champagne, but will be aware nothing takes the fizz out of a season than the bitter taste of relegation. Alex McLeish's victorious Blues play host to Midlands rivals and fellow strugglers West Brom with the St Andrews outfit just two points clear of the bottom three, although they do have the benefit of two games in hand. Roy Hodgson's Baggies only have a one-point cushion and the former Liverpool boss is still waiting for his first success at the helm having overseen three draws since being brought in to replace the axed Roberto Di Matteo.Roberto Mancini may be publically ruling Manchester City out of the reckoning for the Premier League crown, yet success over bottom club Wigan at Eastlands on Saturday would keep the Eastlands outfit in the frame should United and Arsenal suffer further slips which have affected all clubs in the unpredictable Premier League this term. The hosts enjoyed a routine 3-0 success over Aston Villa in the FA Cup in midweek and are also strong contenders for Europa League glory as Mancini aims to end the club's 35-year wait for a trophy, but were rocked by Kolo Toure's failed drugs test on Thursday evening. Wigan, meanwhile, can only focus on retaining the Premier League status they have enjoyed since 2005, with their top-flight berth in grave danger after just five wins all season.MammothTottenham must ensure that their mammoth UEFA Champions League meeting with AC Milan in midweek does not distract their attempts to secure a seat at European football's top table again next season when they travel to Wolves on Sunday. Mick McCarthy's Molineux men have already claimed the scalps of Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool this season and have momentum on their side following their 4-0 home drubbing of 10-man Blackpool last weekend. Spurs have not been in action since their 3-1 defeat by the Seasiders on 22nd February but will move back into fourth place if they take all three points in the Black Country.Gerard Houllier's team for Aston Villa's FA Cup reverse at Manchester City caused raised eyebrows, not least among the travelling supporters, and several players who only made the bench in midweek are likely to be back among the starting XI against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium. Houllier's protestations over his selection policy have convinced few, with the Frenchman clearly much more concerned with securing Premier League survival than having a shot at glory in the cup. Villa have a five-point cushion over the bottom three but tackle a Trotters side who are fearsome foes on their own patch, with only two defeats suffered so far this season.West Ham clambered off the foot of the table last Sunday as they produced an impressive display to overcome Liverpool 3-1 at Upton Park and know another three points in front of their own supporters when Stoke visit on Saturday would see them rise out of the bottom three, temporarily at least. The match will also provide an intriguing prelude to the FA Cup quarter-final clash between the two which takes place at the home of the Potters the following weekend. For all their fearsome physicality, Tony Pulis' men remain something of a soft touch on their travels with their 10 defeats on the road this term second only to woeful Wolves.Any joy Everton felt from their FA Cup success over holders Chelsea was almost immediately eradicated when David Moyes' side suffered a home defeat at the hands of Reading in round five to miss out on a berth in the quarter-finals. With the Toffees enduring an unhappy Premier League campaign and just five points above the bottom three, further disappointment against Newcastle at St James' Park is unlikely to improve Moyes' already dark mood. Alan Pardew's men have lost just once in top-flight action since the turn of the year, but need to gain more three-point hauls, with five draws in that nine-game spell.Blackburn boss Steve Kean is confident he retains the support of owners Venky's despite a recent slide down the table with Rovers making the trip to the capital to tackle Fulham this weekend. Four games without a win in the Premier League, in which they have shipped four goals against both Aston Villa and Wigan, have followed hard on the heels of their FA Cup exit at the hands of Houllier's side and the Ewood Park side are now only four points above the bottom three. Fulham head their opponents on goal difference alone, with a mere 10 points separating seventh-placed Bolton and Wigan at the foot of a congested table.

Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy could be set for a controversial switch across north London to rivals Tottenham Hotspur, after contract talks reportedly broke down.
:D would be an ok back up i suppose.

Certainly not an easy gameSunderland's current form is worst in the leaguewith the quality they have this should deffo not be the casethey are due a result gona be tough
This plus arsenal being top bottlers and RVP being out points towards an upset. Welbeck back on the bench for Sunderland as well. With odds of 9/1 at betfair I think this bet is very good value. If I was pricing it personally I'd say it was a 3 or 4/1. I'm tempted to throw in 50. Will decide nearer kick off.
