i like it how it iswould probably make a different pattern with the main synth and build around that, then switch back to what You have for a bit of variation.

cheers, yeh it does switch up at 2.49 but i think i might change it before then a little bit to keep it interestingi'm trying to make garage style beats but with a progressive/tech house feel, trying to keep it minimal and use automation to change things rather than introduce too many new elements but it's hard to find a balance.

I like it and reckon the arrangement works.Variation in tracks is something I struggle with at times because I feel like there needs to be switches quite regularly yet when I analyse some of my favourite tracks rather than just listen to themI realise there's hardly any variation at all.

yeh, it's tough. i think even tiny little changes might keep it interesting, like dropping the kick out after 15 bars for one bar or little fx sweeps and stuff might be enough, i dunno, i'll play around with it, might even just drop the synth down an octave halfway thru

Jimpster is a producer I rate at keeping things interesting with simple beats, this is a good example.
