‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Coming Summer 2016

Posted on Thursday, December 5th, 2013 by Germain Lussier
X-Men Age of Apocalypse

Briefly: Details are scarce but director Bryan Singer just announced that a new X-Men movie, called X-Men: Apocalypse, will be out in 2016. The precise date being reported is May 27, 2016, about two years after the upcoming release X-Men: Days of Future Past. Read more below.

That sounds like the film will follow the Age of Apocalypse storyline from the 1990s in which more time travel (Days of Future Past has time travel) creates an alternate timeline and an immortal villain named Apocalypse reigns havoc on the X-Men. Think the Thanos of the X-Men storyline.

What’s also interesting about this, besides the massive scope, is Apocalypse was introduced in X-Factor, a comic book that brought the original X-Men team members — Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman, and Jean Grey — back together years after Grey was thought to have been killed. This could be a way for Jean Grey and Cyclops, who aren’t in X-Men: Days of Future Past, to come back into the mix, either played by James Marsden and Famke Janssen, or recast.

(For those familiar with the X-Men comics, this also suggests things about the end of Days of Future Past, but we’ll save more speculation for a point when we have additional info.)

We still are waiting on official details but those should be available soon.

Marvel are sticking with 12As instead of PGs. would prefer 15

enjoyed Mandela, cinematography was excellent, so from a visual point of view it was wonderful

only neg was Idris' attempt at a South African accent.

Yeah I saw it yesterday. Cinema was absolutely packed.

As for the film I enjoyed it a lot, morso for the fact that they didn't make him out to be a saint. He was in his early days at least quite the adulterer. Wished they showed more of the years when he was on the run that part was over too quickly. I also liked that Winnie didn't escape the critical eye and her more angry response to white rule was covered nicely as well.

Rush>___

What a great movie, don't care for Formula one but the film is so gripping.

Main two cast played their roles so well, throughout the film I was routing for one, then the other etc.

Read the director did this on purpose having similarities to a f1 race.

Couldn't recommend more, jumped in to my top 10 movies easily.

see posters for it on the underground

gonna wait for Wolf of Wall Street, as much as I hate our late releases

Railway Man dragged. Enjoyed the scenes actually set in the war, did not enjoy the present day scenes, maybe because Colin Firth didn't suit the role at all.

Last Vegas was better than expected, because I expected it to be completely shit but there were a few lols, and it was a 5.5, rather than the 4 I expected.
