Hes styling on yous.

It's his birthday! There, a nice easy one to get the ball rolling. 2 He has 9,433,000 Twitter followers and that's loads!

3 And that means lots of happy-birthday Tweets, which is nice.

4 Sarah Palin has only 620,000! Pathetic!

5 If anyone picks on him because of his ears, he can have that person killed.

6 Likewise, if they beat him at Pass the Parcel.

7 It is the only day of the year he can plausibly enjoy a tea party.

8 His poor fundraising quarter means he can ask party guests to bring a bottle.

9 He can reasonably assume that the next year can't possibly be as financially disastrous as the one just gone.

10 They are never going to make him pay back the whole $14 trillion.

he's taken the country's debt and spent as much as GW bush and taken them to the brink of bankruptcy from $11trillion in the red to $14trillion.

Fire on Babylon

Oh yes a change has come

Fire on Babylon

any Thoughts?

America will never have a great president for a very long while.

That nation is such a mess right now. Its actually been in a mess for a while..

It could rot away for all I care.

The globe needs a new power shift without them involved tbh

I find it ridiculous that some people expected him to turn around a country with values (some seriously retarded) as deep rooted as America in under 4 years, the recovery period for corporations in bad situations is often longer. When you factor in he was following one of the most inept presidents of all time it becomes even more ridiculous, the national debt situation was largely Bush's doing seen as he increased the national debt beyond the widely regarded acceptable percentage of America's GDP.

I see some of the opposition Obama faces to what seem like perfectly rational policies and can't help but think he shouldn't have even bothered, America sells itself on the notion anyone can make it there but it couldn't be further from the truth. The permanent subjugation of the vast majority of their citizens is the foundation for so much of their economic wealth it's sickening and any attempt to give those people even a moderately improved quality of life is attacked if it comes remotely close to hurting a corporation's profits.

The ridiculous level of partisanship make it even worse, the Republicans will openly block policies at the expense of the nation's well being to put the current administration in a negative light. This is nothing new but even the american public have acknowledged that it's gone too far now.

In short America is a f*cked up place and no matter who governs it I can't see it changing, I genuinely believe Obama had good intentions which are reflected in some of the bills he's been able to get passed but he's made his fair share of mistakes as well.

That Will-I-am song looks and sounds like a big joke now. all those people who saw him as a messiah look silly now. Bush was corrupt, Bill Clinton was corrupt I don't know why everyone thought Obama would be different. Even America's left is turning against him, some people even have buyers remorse, wishing they supported Clinton.

Yes Bush was a extremely awful president but I don't see how you can put all the blame on bush. Obama had all the goodwill in the world. Both houses of congress (until very recently), a popular mandate etc.

Despite the Tea-party's howls he is not in anyway a socialist in the traditional sense, he has been quite pragmatic and risk-averse.

He has flopped so hard on the economy, the stimulus package has failed in every way, and has dealt a mortal blow to the country's finances. He has surrounded himself with the architects of the crisis, larry summers et. al. He was muscled into the bailouts by the big business people he surrounded himself with, dropping out of the healthcare debate because the insurance companies offered him a free pass in the next presidential election. He is in every sense a Wall Street president. He got way more money from bankers than any republican, and has paid them in kind.

Look at what he has been prepared to fight for (Afghanistan, Libya, free trade).

This whole debt ceiling melodrama was just a joke, even with the Tea-party's demands, the deal does not seriously deal with America's debt.

The west still hasn't really got out of the recession by any means and politicians and economists are clueless. The whole west is in decline, and we will be the first post-war generation that will see living standards decline irrevocably.

All those people who want a change in the balance of power, I say it is better the devil we know. Imagine a muscular China or an emergent Russia running the show. Indeed it is a mistake to assume that any state would act out of benevolence or for the general well-being of the world. Every state is rationally self-interested.

It's always good to see a Black man make it. But he has been shown up for his timidity and his inexperience.

Ron Paul would make an excellent president, but alas he would never get elected.
