My sister has a compaq desktop .

It was running abit sluggish so i bought...

Thinking this was the correct upgrade, however, when i installed both sticks the desktop doesnt boot, just makes a beeping noises.

It lets me use 1 stick at a time and even 1 new stick and 1 of the old stick...but not both new ones at the same time.

Can any1 help me sort this out?

yup thats correct...

and it may sound stupid... but make sure you buy the correct sticks and up to the size the motherboard can take

i weas being adventurous before and i bought 2 sticks 1 gb each when way back when, my pc could only take up to i think it was 1 gb :/

kept gettin that beepin sound ffs
