I really like what you're trying to do.

Obviously you know it can be smoothed out in regards to sound, etc.

BUT, you have that bigger picture there. It could really work. I would also say be careful with trivialising things like slang too much though. Keep it real but funny where it's meant to be - if that makes sense.
