Laptop HDMI to TV question

Is there a way of let say having my firefox up on the tv screen whilst I browse and use other programs while on the lappy

essentially I want to use the TV to watvh TV and do whatever else I want on my lappy

You should be able to do that using HDMI.

Just have to find the extend desktop option in your display/video card settings.

If you want to have separate taskbars you can get a program like this http://actualtools.com/articles/detail.php?ID=1265 (assuming your on windows seven).

Having a dual montior setup is the best. Dont know why I took so long to do it.

i used to play media full screen on the tv but in a window on the PC

cant even remember how i did it, but as soon as i play a video file on PC it auto goes on full screen on the TV so i can minimise on PC n do whatever I want

this it was a config setting on the ATI graphics card
