US Presidential Election

Linda E. McMahon, a Connecticut Republican who is a former professional wrestling executive, spent close to $100 million — nearly all of it her own money — on two races for the Senate, conceding defeat on Tuesday for the second time in three years.

Bob Perry, a Texas homebuilder, poured more than $21 million into super PACs active in the presidential race and the Senate battles in Florida and Virginia, where Democrats narrowly prevailed.

Joe Ricketts, the owner of the Chicago Cubs, spent close to $13 million to bankroll a super PAC attacking Mr. Obama over federal spending.

The biggest single donor in political history, the casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson, mingled with other Romney backers at a postelection breakfast, fresh off a large gamble gone bad. Of the eight candidates he supported with tens of millions of dollars in contributions to “super PACs,” none were victorious on Tuesday.

The decision to remove the limit on electoral campaigns was championed by Republicans because they thought they could literally buy the election, they spend an absolute sh*t load of money and still lost.

The irony of these guys talking about being financially prudent and job creation when they're blowing billions in an attempt to get their own way.

America doesn't like' a loser: Romney's Facebook friends desert him

Mitt Romney's online supporters are deserting him following his election defeat by deleting Facebook 'likes', and a website has been created to allow his detractors to watch the process in real time.

Disappearingromney.com is keeping track as hundreds of "likes" are deleted every hour.

At the time of writing, he was down to 12,042,215 likes, and falling. Mr Obama has more than 33 million "likes", and rising.

Mr Romney's Facebook page, a key part of his online campaign, has not been updated since Saturday. In what appeared to be a farewell message, he thanked supporters.

"From the bottom of our hearts, Ann and I thank you for your support, prayers, efforts, and vote," said Mr Romney.

"We are forever grateful to every one of you."

In contrast to Mr Romney's post-election slump on Facebook, a picture posted by the Obama campaign immediately after his victory received the most "likes" of any image posted to the world's largest social network.

Hilary will win.

But my ex is a strong trump supporter she is one of the dumb people who fell for the trap of spreading fear. I had her tell me muslims are evil, Mexicans get everything for free what she has to pay for (education, insurance) when americans

attacked and killed people in california she blamed isis. after the paris attack she wanted her country to attack isis. would not listen when I explained that 97% of isis victims are muslim. The way she is brainwashed and many americans is different hopefully the more progressive people in American society get up and vote

Most amazing thing about the spending for me is the amount trump has spent. next to nothing.

hope to god he does not win. But Hilary does not seem to great either in terms of her international policys seems a bit war hungry.
