Whats the best ways to boost your credit rating in the shortest possible time?

Might even be worth applying for a card like Capital One Classic and using it every month. They're quite a few 'credit builder' cards i've been looking at myself lately as my credit is also sh*t.

quickest quickest quickest possible way... is literally payday loans... do the minimum and pay it back whenever the repayment is...

im not too sure, but as soon as u pay it back, im sure your credit changes there and then or prob within a few weeks to a month...

the others would be:

pay off all bailiff fines

court fines

do direct debit

get a job and monies will be coming into your account

register for electoral role

A debt only become statured barred if not per sued or contact within 6 years, bearing in mind the debt will be probe be re sold and the cycle will start again

Most payday loans don't even appear on your credit file.

Get a Vanquis or Granite card, and keep paying off full balance every month.

Check your file regularly, there maybe incorrect info or stuff that should have came off.

My credit is extremely poor, something like 228 rated as very poor

Currently have 3 defaults, one from natwest, which the 6 year mark will reach this year - will this be removed?

second is tmobile, which should clear this year or next with the 6 year mark .. however I noticed they sold this debt on last year - does this mean I have to wait a further 6 years from when they purchased the debt?

Funny this topic popped up, was going to write up letters to all of my defaulters... f*cked when you realise how important credit is !!!

If your not on the Electorial role, then its virtually impossible to get a credit card.

I wasnt on it for years and kept getting rejected for cards. I signed up to the role, it took about 6 weeks to show up on my credit file and then the week after I applied for a card and got accepted with a £5k limit.
