Scholes To Replace Jack Wilshere At The Euro's?

Recommended Posts

paul-scholes_2192102b.jpg

Seems like Wenger has but ruled him out playing again this season as 3rd is pretty much done and they have nothing to play for, which means he won't go to the Euro's

Obviously his ability will be a big loss and we can't go with a midfield of Barry and Lampard

People keep hinting that Scholes should come out of retirement and get picked for it, he has only played half a season so will be fresher then he wud have last time round when he chose not to go

Seems like it could possibly be in the pipeline behind closed doors

Makes sense to me imo

Thoughts?

He should go euros even if wilshere goes. Been retired half a season and violated gerrard in midfield the other day.

Take Carrick, seriously underrated IMO

If he is good enough to control the midfield for Man You then clearly he should be starting for England.

Scholes won't go but why Carrick is overlooked is baffling

Its a huge understatement to say that i'd be more than happy to see both Carrick and Scholes stay at home or go on a nice holiday during the summer.

scholes knows how to keep ball and he can keep it moving, when you watch him play, notice how he passes the ball ,looks around, finds space and then ask for it back!..

Scholes will get exposed vs the elite. Would be chasing shadows.

I'd take Wilshere and Carrick. Wouldnt even call Scholes up.

and this is how Wenger feels about Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Especially as he wants them nowhere near the Olympics either.

Carrick is one of the most important players at Utd, he starts attacks, breaks attacks, retains possession, determines the tempo & plays the ball into the FEET of the attacking players..

Carrick & Scholes would be wasted with England, as they don't play possession football

Carrick is overrated. In fact I'd go as far as saying Spurs were laughing after receiving that fee from Man Utd.

You do know what happened to spurs after he left right?

You do know what happened when he joined Utd that season right?
