Seems like Wenger has but ruled him out playing again this season as 3rd is pretty much done and they have nothing to play for, which means he won't go to the Euro's

Obviously his ability will be a big loss and we can't go with a midfield of Barry and Lampard

People keep hinting that Scholes should come out of retirement and get picked for it, he has only played half a season so will be fresher then he wud have last time round when he chose not to go

Seems like it could possibly be in the pipeline behind closed doors

Makes sense to me imo

Thoughts?

Its a huge understatement to say that i'd be more than happy to see both Carrick and Scholes stay at home or go on a nice holiday during the summer.

and this is how Wenger feels about Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Especially as he wants them nowhere near the Olympics either.

Carrick is one of the most important players at Utd, he starts attacks, breaks attacks, retains possession, determines the tempo & plays the ball into the FEET of the attacking players..

Carrick & Scholes would be wasted with England, as they don't play possession football

bear in mind, Gerrards 3rd League Cup came this season and Carricks due to add a 5th League title to his collection soon, who ever would have said Carrick has won more trophies than Lamps & Gerrard if they had been asked the Q, honestly? (non united supporters)
