That album was X's Illmatic, his Reasonable Doubt, his GRODT. Admittedly that isn't an 'unpopular' opinion, most people would agree, but it's the truth.

Crack ain't conducive to positive career growth. Early X had the hype/hunger from just getting on, plus the energy from that pipe. When he rock-bottomed, he lost his hunger and the only energy he had was coming from the drugs he was taking. His music wasn't the same, Swizzy tried though..
