Poland v Greece 1700 BBC1

Team news:

Poland defender Damien Perquis remains a fitness doubt ahead of Friday's Group A opener against Greece in Warsaw.

The Sochaux centre-back fractured his elbow in March and while he played in the friendly win over Andorra last weekend he is not yet fully fit.

Greece full-back Vassilis Torosidis is a doubt after suffering a knee injury in a friendly against Slovenia.

Creative midfielder Sotiris Ninis missed Greece's last warm-up match with a shoulder injury but should be fit.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is confident that Franciszek Smuda's side can handle the expectation of kicking-off the tournament in front of their home fans.

He said: "All of us have played important matches, and will have more important ones still, in our career.

"I'm sure each one of us will handle that pressure."

Greece lost all three games in the finals four years ago but coach Fernando Santos believes his side will be tough opponents this time around.

"The players deserve to be in the Euro competition and they give me confidence that we can please the Greek people," he said.

"I know we will show will and desire.

"It will be very difficult for any opposing team to beat us. Nobody is very much better than us."

Russia v Czech Republic 1945 ITV1

Team news:

Russia are expected to have a fully-fit squad for their Group A opener.

Goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, right-back Aleksandr Anyukov and striker Roman Pavlyuchenko all emerged from their final training session unscathed following knocks.

Czech striker Milan Baros returned to training on Thursday after recovering from the thigh strain that sidelined him earlier in the week.

Tomas Rosicky had been a concern but is now fit after a calf problem.

Russia, who reached the semi-finals four years ago, recorded an impressive 3-0 friendly win over Italy last week but coach d*ck Advocaat is in cautious mood.

"One friendly victory, even if it was a thrashing of Italy, doesn't make us the Euro favourites," said Advocaat, who is stepping down after the finals to take over Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.

"We should remain realists - it was just a warm-up game.

"It's good that we scored three goals against Italy to boost our team's self-confidence but we still need to improve our defence to avoid serious problems in the group matches with the Czechs, Poland and Greece."

Rosicky believes Arsenal team-mate Andrey Arshavin, who left The Emirates on loan in January to rejoin Zenit St Petersburg, is Russia's main threat.

He said: "When you watch matches of the Russian team, Andrey is still the key player in the national team.

"Andrey is still a great player, and there's no doubt he will represent an enormous danger for us."

This Tournament is going to be about who scores 1st

So many anti ultra defensive teams carrying a bus

A lot of counter attacking teams

No team in this tournament has a defence( 10 men behind the ball doesn't count)

1st game will be cagey if Greece score 1st will the host be patient and stay with their team?

Support to Lewandoski has to be quick but in Lewandoski they have a guy who can occupy a whole back four by himself

Obranik/Piszcek have to be creative

This evening game could be a Russian Rape if the Russians score 1st

Necid vs his club team mates (Ignashevich rubbish defender but what a footballer)

Necid the sort of CF targetman Bendtner wish he was more like (Both footed/strong/quick feet)

Arshavin,/Dzagoev behind Kerzahkov against a bad Czech defence with Petr Cech behind them

Look out for Shirokov (this guy has a goal or two in him)
