The 2500k overclocks better (if ur into that?) The 3570k is newer tech

I have the 2500k (but ivy bridge wasnt out at the time of purchase)

Either will be perfect though

The current ivy bridge cpu get hotter at higher frequencies (in comparison to the 2500k) but not really a problem if you have a good cooler.

550 ti is good, see if you can find a cheap 560 ti. Thats what many people use, very good card.
