an the guy who said word out, the other day he goes to me 'you'll be going to carnival wont you'

i said no, not my scene

hes goes 'i love a bit a jerk chicken and some canabis on a street corner, what more could you ask for?'

tryna catch me out, guy got air from me and some next fool replied going 'yep yep yeeppp'

idiot

but then tbh they will actually think whatever they think of me regardless of what I actually say and how I actually act

/

agree with M12

lucky thing I'm not planning to stay in this kind of environment

just making money and moving on to better things

Gotta play the game

Read some Sun Tzu

I put my line manager on blast the other day in front of the whole office and directors for doing something that

A) would make me look a fool as it was her task to deal with and she loves to push on her mistakes to her colleagues

B) Piss off an already unimpressed client

Director took me aside later in the day and congratulated me for seeing it and also told me that we're basically biding our time until Incan take this woman's job

I did this knowing the afternoon previous that my line manager was given a bollocking by said director in my absence.

Thing is I'm not even being a prick fornnonreason because this woman is losing the company clients, I I'm going to work somewhere I'm not going to accept mediocrity and collect a pay cheque I wont deserve it. 110% until i move on that's my working ethos.

I wish I work in an office with young people apart from a temp job I done with hackney council. I have always worked with middle aged men and women.

Had my appraisal basically we had a merger and my job was under threat but now I have been told it is safe. Just been told bout my attendance took 2 months of sick between may and July.

Starting my training so money is going to step up soon(wage is already decent). Plus it's an actual career got loads of opportunities for various promotions. Only thing I have to do pure studying at home but in the long run its worth it

No idea what I'm gonna do when I graduate. My brother comes homes telling me his life is dead from working.

I've also attatched myself way too much with the idea of working abroad (china specifically).

Do it. Theres a bit world out there, see as much of it as you can and settle down when your older.

It's a struggle to not let your work life define you.

True. So many people live for the end of the month. Life revolves around pay day

PAY DAY TOMMOROW....YEAH ITS PAY DAY LETS GET f*ckED UP......WE UP NI DA CUBL GETTIN FUCUKD UP WOOO....oh man Im feeling so rough....back at work mondays suck

Repeat x ∞

I know very well how to play it, i jus dont care for it. I have other things to do after work. They only do this pub ting every day because they dnt have other commitments. They work late then go out. Im always myself.

I don't mind getting alienated by work colleagues

Because that's all they are

dont matter how good you are at your job, if people dont like you or feel like you're one of them. You aint ever going to make any progress.

Utter nonsense. Excel at your work and you can go far. Don't need to be friends with everybody

Have you worked in any top tier organisations? Didn't think so. I know what I'm talking about

The most important thing is knowledge in your sector

This is what I dont understand about some people on here

You can say I haven't yet based on assumption yet strongly imply that you have without providing any evidence

''In 011 you was the tr0ll homie, damnn look what happen to you homieee''

Of course you need the credentials to make it up the ladder

But on top of that you need the nous to put those promotions into motion

These directors you've met are probably from strong backgrounds already if you're talking about corporates, so things are a bit more straight forward

For the average Joe like myself being good at my job isn't enough sometimes you need to make the correct allegiances and make the people upstairs aware of your hard work

im absolutely not

i especially don't come across this way at work. Any job i've been in people always seem to comment at how relaxed I am

i socialise with people I can tolerate from any background

Property/real estate finance and yeah

But even so those letters might not be enough to make a distinction of me, I plan to work with people who already have these so I need to do more still
