A world without muslims

I think its silly to attribute scientific discoveries to a religion, because historically religions have distanced themselves from Science and ALL disagree with the fundamental scientific theories explaining our existance. How you can talk about creating chemistry and bonding atoms but then say the reason it happened is because a man said it should once is ridic.

See that's something that gets me. Why would religion attempt to discount science? They'll never be able to prove their is/isn't a god with science because the response can always be "He can do all things" or something to that effect, saving that though the argument could always be "Look at what god has allowed you to achieve in science"

Religions doing things like discounting science is just one reason why I couldn't be religious.

Religion had nothing to do with most of them inventions did it, they were just clever people who happened to follow a certain religion. The way you say it it sounds like some muslim island where they sit and invent stuff constantly.

TBH RELIGION HAD ALOT TO DO WITH MOST OF THE INNOVATION BY MUSLIMS DURING THE DARK AGES AND CHRISTIANS AFTER

After the dark ages perhaps.

Spirituality is a deep thing, it requires on to take oneself out of the proverbial box for a moment and ponder where we all fit into each other. Science and spirituality both rely upon experience, and both seek truth. The seperation is a relatively modern phenomenon, brought about as a reaction against the restrictive limits placed on European scientists by various Popes and religious institutions. Hence science has completely rebounded and now is seen as a secular lens into the world, without any ties AT ALL to religion.

However that doesn't mean that science isn't conducted or inspired Yahweh/God/Jehovah/Buddha/Krishna/Allah or any of the other 72 names mentioned in scriptures. History can definitely show you otherwise.
