Some Nvidia graphics card Cipher sent to me back in '08 with VGA and DVI-I

650w PSU ive had since 2008

Dual 19" VGA monitors (one has a vga to dvi adapter) with a 3rd USB mimo touch screen monitor (which i cant quite get to work with windows 8, but on 7 i used it as an RSS reader, its a 2009-ish model though, may have to get a recent one)

4u rackmount case on a 19u open rack frame

here's a video of the boot

my ones pretty crap, but its cool cause it just uses 1 USB cable so no need for other graphics ports

and its one point touch, not even capacitive or anything, its like them old school windows phones with the stylus.

looking to cop this

once i can find a UK shop that sells it

can use it for twitter, facebook or games maps where you can zoom etc, pretty much anything you can do on screen, but with touch

nah its just a monitor. doesnt have any hardware inside like memory/processor/storage etc. it just extends your desktop or whatever like a normal monitor

32GB 1600 RAM yeah, is that how you're going on? Madness

Plus the SSD, that thing must boot up sharpish.

Just spec'd out my HTPC build which I should get in a week if Scan sort out the mobo stock issue, will add to this when its done.

Only thread I can find is this;

tryna future proof it, its abit of an overkill and most ive done so far is use the metro apps

but hoping to use it as my main PC for the foreseeable future

Not toooo sure how that clocked up to almost a grand but I must be missing something...

Anyway while I was doing my last build I took some random pics. Not the best and still havent got a pic of it all finished but here....

1. Fractal Define R3 tower case... Just putting in some motherboard standoffs...

2. The motherboard (Asus P8Z68-V/Gen3) In the case...

3. Threw the PSU in... Probably the most important thing.. Seasonic M12ii 520W

atn2ad.jpg

4. Graphics card... Asus ATI 6870 - MASSIVE thing. Pic does not show it well at all but F it

avn214.jpg

5. The edge of the 256GB Samsung 830 SSD and 1TB Samsung F3 mechanical

6. An almost finished pic. When my bitch got bored of snapping for me and went to lay down.

In the last pic theres no middle fan put in yet for the cooler. Missing my 128GB Crucial M4 SSD too and probably some other stuff like not being cable tidied.

2500k CPU hiding behind the cooler... When I can be bothered later I'll get a pic of how it is now after a month or 2.

You know what. The Noctua D14 makes me wanna clock it hard but I really don't care for speed atm. Almost got the 3570 but I know they are harder to clock hence the Sandy choice.

What cooler you got now? 4.5 is pretty sick. I should do 5 easy on mine but will I ever use it...
