ViP2's Coaches' Corner

When it comes to getting paid, anything below UEFA B in this country is part-time money.

Unless your networking skills have gotten you a decent position at a Championship/Premier League club.

However I've heard of level 2 coaches getting £24K+ abroad.

Middle East, Far East Asia & anywhere in North America, you're laughing.

You can get that here with a level 2 working at soccer schools

But going down that route the ceiling is very low

Did anybody catch this weeks episode of the Footballers Football show?

Damien Comolli, Chris Anderson & Big Sam were discussing the use and importance of statistical analysis in the modern game, both from a tactical & recruiting POV

It was very very interesting, especialyl to hear from Comolli

Comolli also talked about the small-team, big team transition, especially with regards to goalkeepers (something I always rabbit about on here)

I don't think that's a whole episodes worth of footage, i will try to rip it from my Sky+ box when I can and upload it

I may be coaching u18s in a couple of weeks with any luck

Is that the gig you've got atm?

/

Who gets paid atm (even if it's just travel costs?) it can be hard to get done if you want the experience

I'm involved in a couple setups, one of which is u18s.

I do.

Anybody done the youth modules?

@ Kane, that's a good look! The group interview should be interesting..

I want to do level 1/2 & hopefully have whatever club I'm with pay for the course next year.

Very necessary.
