Ways to monetize from a website

Images are a great way to get hits on your website that 90% of people don't optimize fully.

Most people will upload a pic about say football as footiepics.jpg or nani1.jpg when they should really name it nani-goal-against-wigan-for-manchester-united.jpg

And the image alt text should be just as descriptive, that way you give Google all the info it needs to rank your image well in their image section and get hits for people looking for that exact photo.

Trust. This really works.

Once we were working on the algerian hockey site and we put news up that we had joined tumblr, the image we used on the news story was something like tumblr-logo.jpg, we'd get thousands and thousands of hits daily just from that image.

If You really want to do this, this program is called Lightroom, assigns data to an image file in a similar way to how an mp3 has Artist, Album, Year, etc and is all searchable

Strongly recommend, but better for when uploading directly to Your site than something like Photobucket/Tumblr

If your website generates lots of traffic and your serious speak to me I work for one of the top digital companies in the UK. We offer Tablet, in-app, mobile, display and video solutions. Primarily remnant inventory but if you go exclusive you get better rates.

CPMs for video start at like £5 but the bigger clients get upwards of £14. Display we go in at £0.40CPM

Bruv talk to me.

Nice nice, I need to take time to understand all of this.

i've always wanted a website.

Bro go register and Adsense account RIGHT NOW.

The approval process is the longest part. Getting a website is piss easy.

You can PM me if you're interested in getting to grips with a simple, high traffic, low maintenance site

You could get approved for Adsense easily with your blog, you've got a .org ennit?

Apply for it today bro, takes 3 months for the verification cheque to come through. In that time you can read up plenty.

I fully work for Amazon now still in Advertising but away from the media buying section I was in when I posted this.

I don't even have any modern recommendations for you the industry has changed so significantly! I would recommend going for Video if you have a slot for this, you can command higher CPM's but for regular display ad's this is kind of dying now :(
