if Ibra lasts more than 2 seasons at PSG, him and Lavezzi could become a good one

Vucinic and Giovinco?

Aguero and Forlan at Athletico>>>>>

I think players spending less time at one club is more responsible than the rise of any formation

Strike partnerships used to be 2 actual strikers like Cole and Yorke or Wright and Bergkamp. Nowadays its one striker and one advanced midfielder like Adebayor and Bale or Torres and Gerrard, and possibly even Rooney and Van Persie cos while both are forwards, they do still swap as to who plays in the most advanced position. With that said I don't think its a dying art, its just adapting.

But even mentioning the players that have been mentioned, you can see which ones were the more withdrawn player.
