Cambell and Wright
striker partnerships seem to be dying now?
Crouch & Defoe
theres been some serious partnerships over recent seasons
Didn't even need to look at the name
CEO of David's advocate
roovez
Berbs + keane
Torres + gerrard
Drogba + anelka
to name a few
if Ibra lasts more than 2 seasons at PSG, him and Lavezzi could become a good one
Vucinic and Giovinco?
Aguero and Forlan at Athletico>>>>>
I think players spending less time at one club is more responsible than the rise of any formation

Good shout on Ibra/Lavezzi & Forlan/Aguero still.
Striking in general is dying. There's no stand out striker in world football for me

Lol messi is not standout now ?
Strike partnerships used to be 2 actual strikers like Cole and Yorke or Wright and Bergkamp. Nowadays its one striker and one advanced midfielder like Adebayor and Bale or Torres and Gerrard, and possibly even Rooney and Van Persie cos while both are forwards, they do still swap as to who plays in the most advanced position. With that said I don't think its a dying art, its just adapting.
But even mentioning the players that have been mentioned, you can see which ones were the more withdrawn player.
Raul y Morientes
Ronaldo y Raul
Del Piero/Trezeguet
Ronaldo e Zamorano
Ronaldo e Romario
Crespo y Chiesa
Heskey/Owen
Koller/Amoroso
Fabaino e Kanoute
Been like that for nearly a decade now
!
Yilmaz & Drogba right now
