The Role of a Woman

imhim

Recommended Posts

its true a lot of these eastern euro women have that old skool man and woman roles mentality and i like that.

the woman role was just defined in a sequence of images

when the tasks in the images are done, You watch daytime tv, read magazines and drink red wine

Right so where does that sit in relevance to his post

It sits in relevance because you said..

old skool man and woman roles mentality and i like that.

 What does this mean

Instead of going sideways, maybe you should have said

'i dont believe in those roles because..'

an opinion and explanation would have been better

Ok let's start again.

From that post it's basically said that she is a good wife because she covers up therefore has traditional values and is keeping in her role.

Apposed to the disgrace caused by Algerian females who do not follow?

If his polish wife didn't cover herself up would this have been made a point and does that make her a better wife?

Adjective

Partly male and partly female in appearance; of indeterminate sex.

Having the physical characteristics of both sexes; hermaphrodite.

im confused, so following your post

you are a male feminist who sees genders roles as obsolete to the point men can wear skirts in order to embrace being a new age man?

We live and always have lived in a society ruled by Patriarchy

The world population is almost 50% women but look how under-represented they are in government or board room level, when they do make it they like Thatcher act how a man does, rather than just being herself, which other close friends have said done (put on a harder edge)

I see it more as a spectrum than two extreme sides

I can't remember who said it but I believe

''Males and females are born, Men and Women are created''

To a certain extent

I think there are biological differences, but other differences stem from social engineering dating back 1000s of years which still goes on now

Where as nowadays people are more conscientiously awake and have the freedom to express themselves in whatever man they feel to without the risk or death

Course we can still pass opinions, I wouldn't want my son dressed as like in the above pics, but I wouldn't takes someones life for doing so,

If we didn't grow up seeing men in movies/games/tv shows/newpapers etc as aggressive, assertive, etc would we believe thats really how we are meant to be?

I don't think these are innate characteristics from reading into it and seeing it with my own eyes for the last 5 or so years

If Male leaders of the past didn't feel the need to be so ''strong minded'' and were more compassionate doubt we would have had all these wars, murders, and the evil we do, the world imo would be a better place

yeah, what i said is confirmed.

how can u 'think' they are biological differences but u are 100% sure about social engineering when there are tribes who haven't made contact with the modern world practice a social structure which u view as 'patriarchy' 'aggressive' or 'assertive' and have survived. Say what u will about male leaders but what be the reality of a world lead by females, do u really think its peace and joy? i will generalise like u and assume wars would be even longer as the miscommunication/indirects would be silly. Feminism is for middle class white women and benefits them only, if its even working anyway. u have no business there.

and what have u learnt in 5 years thats made u think gender roles are not innate, because with the skirts all i see are attention seekers and a movement trying to bitch men up so they can relate and overtake. like when me and boy were talking about ball and one silly ting interrupted asking if henry scored, just get in where u fit in.

I said I BELIEVE, not that that I am 100% sure still. And there are islands who have not had contact with the modern world who practise communism and self-determination in its purest form. Doesn't mean capitalism is wrong or right. Anyway that is regardless, tribes rely on hunting to survive. Women by nature give birth thus bear and rear children, with this comes compassion (falling to the babies crying) etc, so while women are breastfeeding and recovering from giving birth, the men are the ones who will have time to build strength and get the experience to go out hunting.

''The reality of a world by females'', Sorry do you have any proof, you just sound young and immature with not a big pool of women around you. As shown above by my example, women are more compassionate and have more empathy by nature. Its through social engineering that women are raised to be the women you see. Sameway I know some women who grew up not being peer pressured into doing traditional female things marketed through tv and internet and plastered all over billboards and thrown down their throats, that is it what women should do. They have found a higher consciousness and are nothing like the victims of patriarchy you are describing .

I never said it would have been peace and joy, I just feel as someone raised with a mum and being around female relatives, having a more proportional representation of women in government the world would be a better place, I didn't see world peace, so I dont see why you are inserting hyperbole into what I said when that is not the case.

Feminism isn't also just for middle class white women still. That is liberal feminism who seeked equal opportunities in the public sphere as they already had it ok at home living in a nice house, its just they felt a bit surprised by their husband and wanted to go out and work in jobs that their husband worked.

Then there is socialist feminism and radical feminism and even neo-conservative feminism. So you obviously do not know what you are talking about

Socialist feminists wanted women to not just more equal rights in the public sphere but also in the private sphere, of their own homes and societies and get protection

So yea...

explains all. so You've only known female points of view and become the kind of man that finds it worthwhile to break feminism down into categories, cool

Agree with you but allow saying the things highlighted, they just make your argument slightly personal and there's no need. It can derail the debate

I hear what you are saying

But if he thinks thats what feminism is

''Just middle class white women''

There is no point even having this debate because he doesn't even know what its about

Assata Shakur one of the most famous black women of all time was a feminist

She is in exile in Cuba for her dedication to giving 1. Black people 2. Black people more rights and better treatment

Thats just one example

So to look down on it as just middle class white women is an extremely far-fetched statement

Unless you know all the different strands of the ideology you are going to find it hard to make a solid statement based on truth and not assumptions

That was all
