Formal Shirts

Recommended Posts

Didnt know where to put this -

For the longest time my work shirts have been shegging me

either tooo baggy , too tight too short on the sleeves not long enough at the bottom

- WHAT GWAN???

has anyone got shirt tailored -if so where can i do this on the cheap

got  a tailor round my way that is quoting me 9.95 to tailor a shirt - is that a good price

i think its a problem with stocky, muscular guys as a few of my other friends are hench are having the same problem

it's either Your £9.95 tailor which isn't too bad compared to the standard cost of a shirt, no?

or trial and error with all shops for different sizes.

I'd go for the first, unless You see Yourself constantly needing to buy new shirts

9.95 is good

Mine charges 20 for sleeve and back alterations and that's at mates rates

Being 6'5 and working out is a bitch when it comes to buying shirts

*edit

Slaters do free alterations btw if you have one nearby

I find buying slim fit a size too big helps. I find it hard to get shirts that are the right length and still allow me to raise both arms without getting too tight on my back

Have you tried dropping down a size

Or just go to that tailer a tenner is a small price to pay to look slick

Fam, you will never get a perfect size, unless you're a default manikin size or you get it tailored/adjusted.

I'm a 15.5" collar but any shirt bought has the same issue as you (baggy round the midriff), but I buy the 15" and its a perfect fit (tight around the neck).

As per above, Charles Thyrwitt Fully Fitted are on point and they do the 4 for £100.00, if you do it through cashback you usually get extra discount + your cashback, swear each one costs me like £20 after all the discount.

Mine have lasted me ages always do the £100.00 deal every few Months.

I handwash the collar/cuffs and then machine wash at 30 and hang dr, but I buy the easy iron ones.

Charles Thyrwitt, TM Lewin, Hawes & Curtis, they're all pretty much the same quality and longevity.
