Depends on the industry you're in. I know some people who live off commision, when you're closing 350k deals in a month and getting 3-7% of it motherfuck an hourly wage

Which industry would you earn this level of commission in? Or see deals of that value on a monthly if not quarterly basis?

Advertising and Property are the two I was referencing in which I know people are caking, but traders mainly work on commission too.

I said 3-7% but you can get much higher than that too.

I know I guy who works in IT recruitment.

For every person he gets into a full time role he gets 10% of their wage in a lump sum. They're all on at least 6 figures and he recruits about 3 people in a slow month. He cakey.

A lot of these jobs are not stable and one bad month is all it takes

I was just about the security of the jobs mentioned.

Its high pressure no doubt, if you want job security go do something that won't potentially make you rich quick.

High Risk - High Pressure - High Reward, such is how life works. If you're a sales person you're well aware of this

This guys job is pretty stable... On the contrary this girl I used to link I've known her 2 years and she's had 9 diff jobs in that time(she's in recruitment). One month she's telling me how good the pay is(circa 3.5k a month). Next month moaning coz she's out of a job and she might have to sell her car and she can't afford petrol.

(Fuck me she was annoying)

Yep sounds like recruitment.

My sis worked in recruitment for a whole and her last few months was similar to that story you mentioned.

Well she's left a few years back. Runs her own recruitment company for carers.

You are either the boss at the top calling shots or you jumping from job to job in hat sector.

Most people I know that were involved are on some other stuff now.
