But if something ever happened to me that the police needed to know about i would contact them first why do some people think they should contact the press before the police?

nah like girls who goto press saying i got raped by a baller before going to policeor man who goto the press aying i got robbed instead of going police

if you sell your story to paper first, they will pay you more bcuz they will have got it before all other papers. plus you can get them on your side so it increases public support for your case. then u go police, having your story in the papers is like protection
