Bad start: Kallstrom could be out of action for two months or more

Arsenal insiders have dismissed claims from Sweden that new boy Kim Kallstrom was injured in his first training session.

Reports from Scandanavia had claimed that the 31-year-old midfielder had sustained an injury and faced a three month lay-off.

But MirrorFootball can reveal Kallstrom HASN'T trained yet with his new team-mates because he arrived in England with a minor back problem. 

Arsenal knew about the injury and after the player's medical decided to go ahead with the loan signing from Spartak Moscow on deadline day.

The former Lyon and Spartak Moscow man will have treatment with a view to him being available for selection soon.

With Mathieu Flamini suspended and Aaron Ramsey injured, Arsene Wenger will hope the Swede can play a major role as Arsenal battle for trophies domestically and in the Champions League.
